Teaching the build to learn from itself

The first real build is nearly done and going well. Today I set up something I am pleased with.

I had Cowork read the entire Claude Code documentation site and save it as files on my machine. Now, whenever I run a prompt, it checks those files for the relevant best practice first. I have indexed the lot, so it effectively learns from itself and follows the current guidance without me remembering to tell it.

Then I put it on a weekly schedule, so it refreshes itself. I am always working with the latest thinking and I never download anything manually.

It is quietly wild to watch it go and get its own instructions.

Written by Philip Grech while the work was happening, and retold here in plainer words. Nothing is added after the fact: if something in an older entry turned out to be wrong, a newer entry says so.
